That nonsense of painting the muzzle of a toy gun blaze orange or neon green has bothered me since the first time I found out about it. They say it's to protect the child who might have a look-alike airgun from an overreaction from a police officer, but think about it another way: what if criminals start painting the muzzles of their real firearms with blaze orange or neon green? Won't that make the police officer hesitate just long enough to take a bullet?
