I got my first gun(a 410 single shot shotgun which I thought was the best gun in the world at the time and I gave it to my son) when I was big enough to keep it from dragging on the ground. Before that I had a BB gun and before that a whole list of toy guns. Now I have...well that's no one's business but mine, and I have never shot anyone or at anyone. It gave me a sense of responsibility on the day I shot my first rabbit with that old 410, it taught me a very important lesson on what happens when you pull the trigger while pointing it at a living creature. That's not something you learn playing with dolls. That old 410 is now my grandsons.
