Probably both "disinterested" and "uninterested" apply in this case. Disinterested means objective, not profiting by something, e.g. a disinterested party as mediator. Uninterested means simply not caring. I can see truth in both these definitions. Obama's profit is certainly not in governing the U.S. And obviously he doesn't care either.
