Look, once again you have to draw the distinction between highly educated feds and other feds. Highly educated feds, according to the nonpartisan CBO, is dramatically underpaid. By that, I mean the ones holding doctorate and professional degrees. Everyone else in the federal government is paid more on average.
The pay inequity between level PhD level feds (and those with professional degrees) and their far more highly paid private sector counterparts is appalling.
