The GOP would've tallied far more than 47% of the votes had they actually stood for something and ran a true conservative candidate. Also, if more intellectually lazy Americans could have pulled themselves away from Facebook and reality TV to go cast an informed vote, the results might have been different. Bam lost over 4M total votes and over 2% of electorate support from '08, and the GOP received nearly 1M more votes and increased their electorate support by about 1.6%. However, participation was down from '08. I don't blame the Dems, I blame the lazy Americans who continue to be preoccupied with frivolous things and don't put the proper emphasis on their civic duty. It is what it is.
