How wonderful it is to know that all the things Mr. Turek mentioned will still be firmly in place if same-gender marriage becomes legal. In fact, in certain instances it will be enhanced. Studies have shown that the number of married couples correlates to a more stable society, greater community involvement, lower crime, and any other number of benefits. By expanding marriage to even more people, those benefits will be enhanced. In addition, the ability of children to be raised by two parents who are married will also be enhanced. At the same time, the ability of opposite-gender couples to marry and raise families will in no way be inhibited.
Sounds like a win-win.
