I don't blame the teacher as much as I blame the school board of that school district. As a high school teacher, I taught my assigned subjects the content with the material supplied to me by the district. However, I let it be known to my students when I disagreed with this material's content. After a short number of years, I determined what I would teach my students, how I would teach my students and when I would teach my students the subject matter in question. Yes, I was taking on the responsibility of determining what the material would include and how that material would or should be taught. As far as I could determine, the student's were not harmed in any way by my decision to be responsible for how my class was to be taught.
