Stop calling them cuts. There will be no reduction in spending; probably not even a reduction in the rate of growth. There may be a reduction in the rate of "what we'ed like to spend", but probably not. We've already spent an additional $53B on Sandy relief and associated pork. Will be offset that? Stupid question; no we won't. We need to cut, cut and cut some more. We need to cut from the Department of Education, Department of Energy, the EPA, Health and Human Services, cut from all the agencys that send money back to the states. The federal goverment takes a big cut before it goes back. Of all the money that goes to the department of Education only about 37% actually goes back "for the children".
