I am astonished by the number of young women I meet who plan to study and then move on to a career in Early Childhood Education. These same women are not planning to seek and work at a marriage, owning a home and raising a family.
My mom graduated from Wheaton College in 1942, worked as a social worker, married my dad and then had a very successful career in Early Childhood Education - raising 4 children who have happy, healthy, successful lives. She now has 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild - with 2 parent homes. None of us went to school before age 5 - all of us top students in our class.
