Really? Been to any third world countries? The comparison you're making is an absolute hyperbole at best. I've traveled extensively in Northern and Central Europe as well as SE Asia and South America. Europe has in places some great roads in some places the roads were laid by the Romans (literally) driving on them will rattle your teeth if your suspension isn't very very good. In SE Asia they have some nice highways but the majority of roads outside the urban centers are only roads in name only. Try actually travelling before you compare the US to the rest of the world. You don't know how good you have it here and what our government is trying to do to make this country "as good as" say the roads in rural Mexico.
