We are one of the few coutnries, in the world, that has the population spread out with few people over vast miles. Those on the East coast don't have a clue about how people elsewhere need gas to stay cheap so that people can get to work, get necesary supplies, etc. Only in big cities, like Seattle, are public bus systems useful and adequate. Otherwise, they are a major waste of money. Personally, I have to drive my car, so that I can get home quickly to help take care of an elderly parent. Local transport would add at least an hour each direction for work, much less is not available for weekends. Get a clue, people.
