Thank you Prof. Williams for this enlightening piece. I now know why Oba ma likes to compare himself to Lincoln. They are birds of a feather on the race issue. Lincoln cited differences between the the white and black races that "will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality." Obama wrote on page 124 of his "DFMF" book that "that the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart. Just as Lincoln was not the great emancipator, Obama is not the great unifer.
