Back in the late 50's up to the mid 60's segregationists in LA, MS, GA DID try to keep blacks from marrying who had any record of out of wedlock birth, or cohabiting. The only public information being low marriage, or high out of wedlock births. This information used as an example that blacks lacked the moral capacity or interest in marriage. Looks like the anti gay use the same info in kind against gay people. Whoever says there is no similarity to the civil rights struggles, is so wrong. The tactics of bigots ALWAYS is. One doesn't have to look very far, or very deep to see the EXACT parallels in words, deeds, and plots and plans of the nation's most notorious haters and the laws of segregation and denial of anyone's humanity.
