It's called cronyism, as you probably know. But, you did just remind me of something we can do instead of just complaining on these blogs: use our power as consumers. In the case of Facebook, what would happen if thousands of people started taking down their Facebook pages after making Facebook's tax 'status' their last post? Hitting the wallet is usually the most effective 'revolution' (and a lot quieter). Of course, the way our government is currently 'working', Congress would be just as likely to pass a law requiring every citizen to have a Facebook page as to closing any corporate tax loopholes.
