healthcare system. I will say as a note of positiveness" that once my mother got into the system, the care was phenomenal. The doctors are amazing, but Canada has no "private care" option. So you WAIT. My parents neighbor died from heart attack while waiting for bypass surgery as they were not able to operate as soon as they were aware of the problem, which eventually lead to his death while waiting. "Living as an expatriate outside of Canada, I see the difference, but Canadians don't. They love their "free healthcare" that they lose 50% of their income on taxes to pay for. It's all they know. They "prepay" whether they use it or not, and when they need it, it isn't fast enough."
