As a gay man who has weathered the last 60 years with some assistance and god's good graces, I do wonder where we gays lost our minds. At one point, in the early 80's, we had the ability to redefine our lives, our standards, our goals and values. We did not take advantage of that moment. Instead, we have spent the better part of 30 years fighting to obtain the right to marry? not to be obvious, but look at how well marriage has worked for most heterosexuals. I do hope my brethren wake up, stop this foolishness, and focus on equal rights, not adopting pointless institutions that have little to no meaning for us, and never shall. To be gay is to be unique, why hide that light under a heterosexual barrel?
