Are there any engineers in the Washington corridors of power – in the Presidency and its 43 aides (czars or, better yet, commissars), in the federal departments and agencies, and in the Congress and all their aides? Let us not forget that the federal government has a gift of $7,000 of taxpayers’ money for every purchaser of an all-electric automobile. But that means nothing to Washington – it is just matter of printing some more paper money. And here we are neglecting to mention many billions of taxpayers’ money given to manufacturers of batteries and electric cars, many of them already bankrupt with more to follow. Last but not least, the prices of these new all-electric cars can only be paid by the very rich, even after that $7,000 gift.
