Question! What makes the electricity electric car batteries are recharged from? Don't tell me wind an solar, that's only a tiny fraction of produced power. Next, when you recharge your battery at home, what happens when your power bill jumps up into the third or fourth rate tier at 30 or 40 cents per KWH? Then how economical is it? Next have an accident and have to wait for the factory rep to come disconnect the battery before the fire department will use the jaws of life to extricate you. Don't believe it? Ask a fireman. They won't touch your battery powered car even as you bleed to death. First aid providers are told over and over "Don't become the victim." The range? Good for city slickers only and we have to subsidize it like Solindra.
