Here's always been a question: where does the water go? Ice to gas to liquid to vapor to...? Water is a non compressible fluid. It can't be made smaller or lighter in liquid form. As vapor it is subject to temperature loss which quickly distills it to liquid again. As ice it is fixed and captured along with the minerals and other elements to which it adheres. It can be separated (cracked) into it's elements - Oxygen and Hydrogen yet recombines with the input of energy into....water.
Our gravitational attraction keeps everything here. Water doesn't "escape" into the void of space. Neither does ozone, O2, or any other gas.
Did we spring a leak?
