I'm not a big fan of rap because I've always been partial to melody and it doesn't have much of that. But the one thing that has changed is lyrics. My dad loved music and every Sunday he would put on the old .45's and we'd listen to them all afternoon. But he was a also a Marine and old school big time. He didn't believe in saying the f word in front of women and children. In fact I never heard him say it until I was 18 years old and went with him on a construction job out of town. So he would not be fond of most of today's music not because of the melody or beat or anything like that but because of the lyrics.
