Here in America, the left still seems to be winning on the surface if you just follow the election returns, but underneath the surface the bottom is quietly falling out from under them. The problem is the rise of Austrian economics. The left has no answer to Austrian economics. In the old days it did not matter much because the mainstream media, mainstream publishing, and academia all scorned Austrian economics. They still scorn it, but it does not matter anymore because the Internet has enabled the Austrian economists to get around the old gatekeepers and reach the people directly. The result is a lopsided contest if you want to call it a contest at all.
