Golly, jee wiz, holy smoke, gosh, jeez, and wow, America's enslavement of Africans began in a Maryland colony court room the year was 1640. It ended on April 9, 1865. The United States of America's Supreme court decided in 1896 to uphold America's "separate but equal", Jim Crow, laws. Those laws were not over turned until 1954. Over the next 16 years American experienced its "civil rights" effort. The Africans in America during the 330 years went from being slaves, 1640 to 1865, to Negro up until 1970, and are now, 2013, black people.
