Ha! If only today's Republicans were the slightest bit like John C. Calhoun. Instead we see fawning over any black or minority who might be imagined as a Presidential candidate. Check out James Kirkpatrick's article at VDARE.com today, "Black-Run Conservatism versus the Generic American Party." The Party is a pathetic joke, and R. Emmett Tyrrell is its former jokester-in-chief, a partisan hack who is reduced to dreaming about the results of the next election. Never mind the fact that the Left is winning on every important issue, from socialism, immigration and multiculturalism, to homosexual rights, and feminism. No, wait 'til 2014!
