I think almost everyone would agree that growing up in broken homes is a pox upon our nation, but honestly these are social problems. They lay outside of the power of anyone to change. Is the media being PC about not reporting about black suspects lacking fathers? Entirely possible, I'd say even likely, but it doesn't bring us any closer to a solution.
Talking about a return to old fashioned values sounds well, but it's not really a solution. No society has even turned its social clock backwards, neither will we. Sadly the best we can likely do is to champion two parent households and stable family units as much as possible and then do what we can to make sure our children and the children of friends and family live that life.
