Wrong. A long-barrel gun is much easier to take away as you go around corners, etc. It's overpowered for short-range indoor use and is likely to travel to other rooms (or down the block) and possibly kill innocents. It also takes 2 hands to operate, which can be a problem if you are investigating a noise and having to descend stairs, operate light switches, open doors, etc. It's also far more difficult to manuever around without hitting door frames, lamps, etc., especially in a fast moving, stressful situation. Ever heard of birdshot? For obvious reasons, bird hunters typically use shotguns, not rifles. I guess that qualifies you as a sub-idiot.
