Williams' misses the point. The idea is to test whether or not the 2nd Amendment will be allowed to stand. If the govt can make a case for the infringement of any portion of the right to bear arms, they will have set a precedent that acknowledges the authority of govt officials to restrict or eliminate portions of the Bill of Rights.
For far too long the populace had been under the idiotic assumption that The Bill details rights that the govt was not granted any power to control. The fact is, the govt has the right to take away any of those rights whenever it feels such action is necessary. If the populace abuses the rights granted to them by the ruling class, the rulers have the right to restrict or withdraw those rights.
