and yet, he was a constitutional law professor at Harvard. From what I've read he focused only on the parts of the constitution which he felt could be interpreted to redistribute wealth to the disadvantaged minorities who had been oppressed by white people. If you could get him to admit it, he probably feels that the Constitution authorizes reparations payments. But he knows he'd never get anywhere pushing that agenda. So he went with the "redistribute wealth" plan and was able to sell it to enough people, including white liberals who suffer from inner guilt feelings for being born white.
