That you even mention the Volt fires proves that this is only another in the long line of attempts to use a technologically advanced, US Engineered and Developed, Japanese (and the world) beating vehicle as a political punching bag. There has not been one single documented case of ANY Volt, in real world driving, catching on fire. You know how many Internal Combustion Engine vehicles spontaneously combusted last year? over 250,000!!! The only tow Volts ever to catch on fire were crash test vehicles that were improperly stored without discharging their batteries and they caught fire TWO WEEKS after the test. I am all for Conservative thinking and actions, but if it has to come with lies and misinformation it is not really worth it..
