'Purpose built'? Whatinell's THAT mean? I'm guessing it means that it doesn't use as much gas as those larger, nasty 'non-purpose built' conventional cars, right? Who but a liberal would actually believe that a car which costs more to produce, more to maintain (batteries do need replacing), uses just as much total energy if not more to run (no, the power to charge/recharge it does not simply come from the wall), and returns virtually nothing on the investment (many don't keep their cars until they drop) is somehow a good idea? Silly me. It's all about moral one-upmanship. I guess making others think you 'care' about 'the planet' is more important than being sure you are wise with your money.
