@JustMC I think the answer is simpler than that.. the Republicans must first decide on a platform, and then anyone stepping outside that platform should be ejected from the party. To my mind it is real simple.. it is just that the Republicans are unwilling to do it. And one of the parties must start telling the truth.. that out of control entitlement spending is going to make the US bankrupt unless brought under control (the programs restricted or preferably eliminated). Its not that anyone wants to eliminate them.. but just that they aren't sustainable.
