Ummm, actually, American_in_Europe, it is very useful. In theological terms, not historical terms, ONLY ISLAM demands war against non-believers until the entire world and everyone in it submits to Islamic law. Christianity has had its tyrants, but none of them were supported by church doctrine. And Judaism requires that the Jews live on their ancestral homeland in Israel. There are no territorial ambitions beyond this rather tiny spot of land. Islam is unique as a manifesto for world conquest, by violence if necessary. It is unique in that apostates are executed. Islam is not like any other religion. And secular tyrants have shed far more blood, historically, than religious warriors. Religion isn't the problem; Islam is the problem
