In all the discussions I have missed seeing one thing, are the drone flights to kill in other countries an illegal act of war on the part of the USA, if they are carried out without authorization from the country where the attack takes place? This is not meant as an indictment on the killing of those who deserve it (even former US citizens who have taken up arms against their country and thus renounced their citizenship). Under the Geneva Conventions most of the combatants (terrorists) are deemed to be illegal combatants as they do not wear uniforms or insignia, as well as a few other minimum criteria to be legal warriors.
