It's news to me that the original was not purpose built...that was how it was billed. ...and making the new one "Purpose Built" certainly will NOT make it less expensive: "Purpose built" means more unique (and expensive to amortize) engineering, more unique parts, assembly processes, etc. However, I concur in your basic premise.
