Actually you're wrong. Prior to Roe and Doe, the best estimates were there were between 70,000-90,000 abortions, "legal" and illegal. As for women dying from back alley abortions, it wasn't the 5,000-10,000 that Bernard Nathanson testified to during Roe, but the estimate was around 300-400 per year. Nathanson confessed that in his first book. He wrote two books that I read years ago: "Aborting America" and "The Abortion Papers". That's where I recall the above numbers from (I may be off a little, but not much). Women continue to die from abortions to this day.
