There are so many things I find wrong with Mr. Greenberg's column that I hardly know where to start. But because I read the whole thing through, and then thought about it I have come to the central problem that I have with this column. Mr. Greenberg believes that he has the right to demand that his fellow citizens behave as he thinks they should. In this case, he demands that "every citizen of a republic should serve in the military for at least a time", as if a citizen's personal freedom is dependent on what Mr. Greenberg thinks is proper.
