Hagel is a Republican, and we have Limbaugh asking to have him rejected. Obama might pick another Democrat like Panetta. The reality of this situaiton, is that many Republicans depend on the warfare state to generate campaign cash, and Hagel wants to reduce military spending. It used to be Republicans were against war except when we were attacked (by another country). And Republicans claim they want to cut government spending. Thus, we have Hagel standing for traditional conservative values, and the RNC establishment rejecting him as an appointee for Obama! The Republican establishment isn't interested in our freedom and limited government. Instead they are interested in power, conflict, spending, and their own wealth.
