I don't disagree with Goldberg but the torture scenes were not realistic in my opinion. I think the gist of the movie is that it took long hours, and years. of tracking down bin Laden's hole. It was accomplished by the agents typified by the actress playing Maya following up small clues, which often led nowhere. It is hard, boring, tedious work, the opposite of the action-packed romantic thrillers that Hollywood usually produces. Kathryn Bigelow is a terrific director and the suspense builds, and builds until the SEALs step in at the climax. And the heroine is pictured shedding tears after she identified the body of bin Laden. Tears for her fellow agents who died earlier and probably at the unChristian task of having to kill a monster!
