This is the thing that most Leftard denialists don't get. It's all very well to talk about the fact that Nazism and Communism are both "socialist." But there are theoretical differences. Nazis are NATIONAL Socialists. Their political ideology might be statist and collectivist but their SOCIAL views are heavily nationalist. Communism on the other hand is supposed to be strictly about "class warfare." It's about championing the downtrodden worker against his capitalist exploiter. It has nothing to do with race or nationality in theory: "Workers of the world, unite!" But the reality is quite different. In particular with regard to the Soviet Union, overt nationalism was ALWAYS a trump card that could be played to prod the "liberated"...
