You have bought into a lie. The planet has NOT experienced "considerable cooling" over the last 16 years. That's a conclusion one could only draw by cherry picking the data, the kind of thing that gets you an F in Statistics 101, and for good reason. Why do you suppose they picked 16 years? Why not 15 or 17? Simple...it didn't give them the answer they wanted. Any object analysis of ALL the data leads to the inevitable conclusion that the planet conitnues to warm. One can argue over the causes, but one cannot any more reaosnably claim the warming isn't happening.
