Without a blanket putting women on the "front lines", I would prefer to see that women who, through circumstances find themselves having to fight not be threatened with prosecution for engaging the enemy. We have had several circumstances since WWII in which women, often those leading recon units, happen upon enemy (well, that's a definite possibility when looking for them) and are forced to engage. Many do not know that woman cannot be decorated for that service and faces charges under the military code. This circumstance needs to change but not so much making the field of battle a gender-neutral, level playing field.
