the government cannot grant or rescind unalienable rights. they exist for every individual by reason of their humanity. unalienable rights exist only for individual human beings. the Declaration of Independence is the foundational law and the basis for all subsequent legitimate lawmaking in the usa. no law in the usa is legitimate if it contradicts or contravenes the Declaration of Independence. the right to worship a benevolent Creator does not come from the federal government. it is the founding principle of our entire legal structure.
