Nothing gets more open criticism from family and strangers theses days than large families. Since homeschoolers have, on average, more children than people whose children attend a public or private institutional setting, they get criticism rather than a "thank you" for 1. having more babies who will grow up to pay taxes 2. a larger family safety net should an adult become dependent and need to be taken care of privately and 3. saving the tax payers on average $10,000 per child, per year K-12 while continuing to contribute in taxes. Add to that that many live very socially conservatively so they cost the taxpayers less in court costs related to crime, divorce, child custody, and social services. You're welcome, America.
