In all due respect, you guys have no clue what you are talking about. Yes, Solyndra, was a disaster but that is but one company and you can even throw in a few more if you like. That is not the point. Energy conservation goes beyond individual companies. It is a POLICY that all countries must subscribe to. Our government - quite correctly and economically rationally - SHOULD subsidize this research, and that includes failures. Your grandchildren will appreciate it, even though you can't see beyond your own petty self-interests.
