Obamacare was written in such a way that the impact to working Americans would not go into effect until after the 2012 elections. This way, Obama could still demagogue the issue as "affordable" health care for those without health care coverage. This law should have been struck down by the Supreme Court, but in their "supreme" wisdom, they upheld the law in its entirety.
The end result is that the very real costs in this bill are going to hit very real people who will not be able to afford it. Call it the law of unintended consequences but when that happens, the fit is going to hit the shan. The silver lining is that maybe, just maybe, the low information voters will finally realize they need to start paying closer attention.
