When I look at the red states I see a country with ports on the Gulf and two existing international borders. No need to defend the new east and west borders, so long as we have no state funded public assistance programs. Charity will rightly be a matter for private citizens to engage in as they see fit, not have forced down their throats by the all knowing State. The genuinely needy will be cared for by their neighbors. The bums already there will move to the coasts, and the bums along the coasts will stay put. Three nations; The Peoples' Democracy of Cali, The Progressive States of New England, and the Constitutional Republic of America. In reality, we are already there. The cartographers just haven't caught up to the reality yet.
