Gentle Readers, Dear Dave, Dear Bruce: The problem your fiance will have in forming any type of partnership for her photography business will be in defining the ownership and the management of the created content, which in this case, would be the photographs. If she does work for a client, the client owns the photo's upon payment - it is " work done for hire ". If shes takes photo's on her own - they are her intellectual property. May I propose: She could form a Development Company with a partner to develop projects, such as calendars or prints using her proprietary photos, or, she could form a Management Company to manage the properties, i.e., the photos. My advice would be for her to KEEP THE COPYRIGHTS for herself!
