It doesn't work that way. If the second amendment is wrong, it can be repealed. We do, in fact, have to figure out if it is wrong, or not. That it isn't is established by such anecdotes, and by John Lott's statistical studies.
I don't care how good a Constitution it is, it's still a piece of paper. It has no more ultimate authority than the warranty on your fridge.
