The problem is you need a $15,000 per year insurance policy and a copay to to go to a doctor for a prescription. All of this for a medicine that is $20 to $30 full price per month. This is insanity considering the morning after pill is over the counter. If the government was really interesting in making contraceptives affordable they would declare them over the counter.
