The first responsibility/duty of anyone discussing or implementing “immigration reform” is looking out for the rights, desires, and needs of those who are US citizens. The rights, desires, and needs of all others are secondary. Yet we hear/see only what is going to be done for immigrants, legal and illegal. We hear/see nothing about what will be done to protect US citizens (which is an explicit constitutional responsibility of the federal government). If securing the border is at such a high level and so far along, then why do so many resist completing the job?
