I feel confident that this misbegotten experiment will rapidly pass away like yesterday's boy band, for the simple reason that War is no respecter of ideology, but impartially rewards that which is effective, and punishes severely that which is not. Women in combat does not, cannot work, for reasons too numerous to describe. Suffice to say, though, that in all history, only two armies ever deliberately attempted to integrate women into combat units: The Soviet army of 1941, and the Israeli Palmach of 1947-48. Both did so because of their strong egalitarian ideology, but both stopped the experiment almost as soon as it began, because it simply did not work on the battlefield.
